A good beer, a lively, live music environment, a place to flirt with the waitresses, to no real end...

Service to me is as important as the quality of the product. I'm paying 4-8x what I pay to prepare it myself; I don't expect it to be as good as mine, but, I expect better service! And, Sidelines delivered.

A shaky start, but a much better start than that other place I've recently reviewed! I have been to Sidelines 5 times, to see 3 different live bands. I've had to leave, because of my anxiety 2x; that didn't help, but didn't hurt this review!

That shaky start is due to recent law changes. A lot of staff at bars and restaurants don't understand disability law, (I'm disabled, and it leaves me more stumped than a Brazilian rain forest, after an American logging company buys timber rights!) I do know, as does everyone I've talked to, that, while you can ask if she's a service animal, and ask to see that I'm carrying my papers for me and her, you can't ask why I need a service animal, nor can you ask what she's trained to do, as a service animal. I got really really uncomfortable, and was on my way out at that conversation, but the security person really smoothed it out.

(Hey, people that just want to bring your dog everywhere -- that's cute, it's also not OK. The reason you see me with Khloe in my arm is because I have a couple serious and debilitating disabilities, don't wish it upon yourself!)

The food is standard bar fare. I always start with a Ruben, to gauge. Not a guarantee, but an indicator. If it's indicative, I'll stick with the Iced Tea and service! The reason for the -1 star is that Ruben. It was thin, dry, not exactly "hot," and the sandwich was as thick as the waitress advertised the meat stack. I was disappointed. I was also disappointed that an iced tea cost money. At all. It was an increased DWI enforcement night, I ordered 10$ in food, a comp. on the iced tea is pretty standard in ABQ (that's why I asked for it, instead of water.)

Too bad they don't really care about customer service. Proven by the fact that when we requested to speak to the gentleman that was managing the place because the food that was in our plates was disastrous... he ignored us! 20+ minutes later he stops and says 'everything good?' We said 'NO, not at all and why didn't you stop when we asked? We saw the server delivering our message right when we asked and you passed by our table several times...' there is just no excuse. No answer, no care. Won't be back. And don't miss it.

One star is very well deserved especially after last night. I like going to see a few good people that I know. When it turns 6pm then everything goes down especially service. The rude meter turns up by the bartender whose never been nice, even though I've been polite and nice in the past. The result she still is rude. the manager who ignores any request. The rude karaoke DJ who intentionally messes up songs for people. I've been nice and given decent tips, but now I'll just avoid going over in the eveings. I've been to many other places where I've  been treated with respect and appreciated for being a customer.
I really do not see how lacking respect for others, even if you do not like them gets you far. I've been told if there is nothing nice to say then say nothing. Hence ending this review.

Pool, decent eats, long bar.  Reasonable prices. Plant of parking. Not a bad seat in the house.

Went in to watch the Sunday games.  I had been there before because I liked the fried mushrooms.  They must be having a problem with food cost because today the $8 fried mushrooms came with only 8 mushrooms.  I said something about it and they didn't bother to even address it.

Aside from that the service was terrible for everyone in our party. They were serving food w/o silverware then not bringing any for 10 to 15 minutes until the food was cold.

There's lots of choices to go watch the Sunday games and I bring like 6 people with me typically so I guess will be going somewhere from now on.
